During the Industrial Revolution there were many inventors that created many new ideas to help others improve their lives. Also during this time the transcontinental railroad was created and iron, oil, and coal were also used in factories and for machines around the country. These times were difficult for some people because of the great depression which is why many inventors created new inventions such as the telephone and the incandescant light bulb. The railroad that was built also made life easier so that people and machines/supplies could be distributed around the country. The iron, oil and coal were used as natural resources made for the workers.

Some conditions that made the industrial revolution to flourish is that there was a lot of inventions. There were a lot of inventions during the industrial revolution the made work easier. There was also a lot of living space and a lot of jobs that were open.
How did laissez-faire capitalism influence the development of business organization in the United States ?
It effected the development of big business organization by letting the workers do what the wanted without being controlled by the government.
Were the leaders of Big Business "robber barons," or in fact "captains of industry?"
The leaders of big business were both robber barons and captains of industry because even though many of them abused their employees, they brought industry to a whole new level in America.
How did some philosophies serve to support class division during the Gilded Age?
Some philosophies had the idea that the middle class deserved the most, and others believed that the rich deserved it all. These philosophies encouraged many big businessmen to bloom and hire the employess of their choice
How did the Industrial Revolution cause urbanization and a dramatic increase in the number of immigrants to the United States ?
During the Industrial Revolution urbanization caused a drastic increase in immigrants because new jobs opened and more and more living spaces became available and the immigrants came over to make money and start a new life.
What effect did urbanization and immigration have on the United States ?
It brought many new cultures and different ways of living to the United States. Many cultures blended in with America.
Why have many historians considered the late 1800's in America to be a Gilded Age; a period which was outwardly showy, but inwardly corrupt?
On the outside, the industrial age looked very positive and productive. But on the inside, there are many tales of poor workers wages, long hours, and tricky businessmen corrupting the market.
